In this presentation Dr. Vu will discuss about the incidence, epidemiology, diagnosis and the most frequent mutations in NSCLC. Then, he will present the current guidelines and the approved and in development treatments for advanced NSCLC. Finally, the mechanism of action of immunotherapy and clinical data regarding checkpoint inhibitors in lung cancer will be explained, as well as the best way to predict immunotherapy response.

Dr. Le Thuong Vu

Lecturer and Clinical Instructor, Int. Medicine Department, University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City

Doctor Le Thuong Vu is a pulmonologist specialized in oncology. Based roof in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Vu has completed both Medical degree and master of Medical Science at the famous University of Medicine and Pharmacy in his hometown.
In 2001, Dr. Vu completed his residency in Internal Lung medicine and then traveled to Paris, France to be trained at the Pierre and Marie Curie University Paris VI. Dr. Vu recently completed his PhD in Medicine at University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City.
Today Dr. Vu works at the biggest general hospital in South Vietnam, Cho Ray Hospital, HCMC and is the secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Respiratory Society. He published more than 40 papers in local and international peer-reviewed journals.
